CARE INSTRUCTIONS

LEATHER

Always hang leather coats on wide padded hangers. Use shoe trees in shoes and boots. Stuff empty bags with tissues to retain their shape.

Do not store leather goods in plastic bags or other nonporous covers. If clothing must be stored in a garment bag, keep it open for ventilation.

Allow wet or damp leather to air-dry naturally away from any source of heat. Take particular care not to hang jackets on hooks or the backs of chairs when wet – this will stretch the leather. Apply a little leather conditioner when the leather is nearly dry to restore flexibility.

In winter, promptly remove any salt deposits from coats, shoes and boots by sponging with clean water, then follow with the treatment recommended above for wet or damp leather. To prevent mildew, protect leather from excessive humidity.

Use any proprietary leather cream to condition the leather.

Never use caustic household chemicals to clean leather. Also, avoid leather preparations that contain alcohol. Avoid turpentine and mineral spirits as they can pull colour. Use of mink oil or other animal fats will darken leather.

TWEED

Our shooting jacket and caps are made from a 640gms per metre all-twist sporting tweed. It is renowned for its rich colour mixtures, tightly twisted yarns and is firmly woven to give excellent performance. It has been given a showerproof finish to enhance its performance in the field.

Our tweed suit cloth is a half twist 430gms per metre jacketing/suiting. Worsted merino yarns and fine cheviot woollen spun yarns are combined to give a light yet strong tweed for medium use and day wear.

Our cashmere cap tweed is a luxurious, 350gms per metre cloth, woven using only the finest quality 100% pure cashmere.

All DSDUNDEE tweed garments are DRY CLEAN ONLY. Please consult the opinion of a professional cleaner and under no circumstances should a tweed garment be put into a household washing machine. DSDUNDEE accepts no liability for tweed fabrics damaged by incorrect washing procedures.

Tweed items with a showerproof coating can withstand 6 Dry Cleans before the coating begins to lose strength.

Hang tweed jackets on thick or padded hangers to preserve shape.

Stains in tweed should be treated as soon as possible to prevent the stain setting in the fabric and becoming a permanent feature of the cloth. Food and beverage stains should be given the promptest attention, as these types of stains will attract moths, which can destroy an article of clothing.

DENIM

13.5 Oz Italian Selvedge Denim

Selvedge denim is made on old style shuttle looms rather than modern projectile looms. The name refers to the "self-edge" being finished by the loom instead of sewn together after weaving. The selvedge is visible in the turn-up as well as fly detail.

DSDUNDEE Selvedge denim comes in its raw, unwashed form. Designed to be broken in for as long as possible without washing it will take on the personality of the wearer and become a unique pair of jeans. We recommend you buy your selvedge denim with a longer leg to allow for turn ups to show off the red & white self-edge!

Machine wash at 40 degrees. Turn jeans inside out before washing and wash separately as blue dye will run. Hang out to dry.

Because the denim is sold in its raw form. when the jeans are new, the dye colour may rub off easily. We urge you to take caution especially when sitting on light coloured upholstery. DSDUNDEE cannot be held responsible for staining of clothing or upholstery caused by the raw denim.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic Fine Jersey

Short Sleeve T-Shirt

100% Organic fine jersey cotton, combed for softness and comfort.

Reinforced shoulder construction to maintain shape through repeated washings.

Durable double-stitched bottom hem.

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low.

WOOL

Knitwear: 100% Lamora wool. 75% Merino 25% Angora.

Cool wash by hand using pure soap. Rinse thoroughly in cool water. Squeeze out by hand or spin. Do not wring. Lay out flat in shape to dry. Press using cool iron (wool setting) and damp cloth. Do not dry in direct heat or strong sunlight. May be dry cleaned. Do not bleach.

Tartan Trousers: 100% wool. 11 oz cloth.

Dry clean only.
